Rebekah Biggerstaff joined Coffey Bomar LLP in September of 2009.  Ms. Biggerstaff works primarily in the area of defense of medical malpractice lawsuits.  She is licensed to practice in North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association.

Ms. Biggerstaff attended Wake Forest University School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2009.  While in law school at Wake Forest, she was awarded the American Bar Association and the Bureau of National Affairs Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law.  She received awards for earning the highest grades in Constitutional Law I, Pre-Trial Practice, Health Care Law & Policy, and Secured Transactions.  She was also a member of the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Journal.

Through an internship with the claims department at MAG Mutual Insurance Company in the summer of 2007, Ms. Biggerstaff gained valuable and unique experience in the area of medical malpractice defense.

She graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2006.  She earned departmental honors in History.  During her senior year at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, she completed a judicial internship at the New Hanover County Courthouse.
